Michel, a natural entrepreneur, obtained a bachelor’s degree in administration at Université Laval in 1980 and a MBA at McGill University in 1983. He joined the National Bank after graduation, working in corporate financing and investment banking. When he joined the Master Group in 1990, he brought his valuable experience and expertise to the leading distributor in the HVAC/R industry in Eastern Canada. After 15 successful years as the company’s VP Finance and CFO, he moved on to the CEO position in 2006. Michel is currently Chairman of the Board of the Tel-Jeunes Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people in Quebec. He has also been closely involved with Cycle Capital – the largest Cleantech private equity fund in Canada – as a key member of the fund’s investment committee since its inception in 2009.
